Restorative Solutions to Smile About
Our Port Coquitlam office offers several restorative services to help you maintain or improve your smile!
Our restorative services include fillings, root canal therapy, bridges and crowns, and dentures. We use the latest techniques and technology to provide you with the best quality care and restore your smile to its fullest potential.
Fillings
At Elgin Dental Group our restorative services include composite (tooth coloured) fillings, which blend in seamlessly with your natural teeth, restoring the form and function of your teeth. These fillings can withstand moderate pressure from the constant stress of chewing and can be used on front and back teeth.
Root Canal Therapy
Extensive decay, tooth trauma, or gum disease can infect the nerve of a tooth causing inflammation or infection that can lead to pain and a dental abscess. During a root canal procedure, the affected nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed.
A successful root canal treatment prevents the spread of infection and lets you prolong the longevity of the tooth rather than having to pull it out. Your tooth may return to its normal painless function within quite a short time of the root canal.
If you are experiencing symptoms that could be caused by an infected tooth, contact our team at Elgin Dental Group today.
Bridges and Crowns
We offer a range of restorative options, including bridges and crowns, to repair damaged or missing teeth and restore your smile’s natural appearance.
Our dentists can cover a damaged or discoloured tooth with a crown to restore it to its original size and shape, reinforcing the strength, structure and durability of your tooth.
Missing teeth leave an empty space in your mouth. This gap may cause the surrounding teeth to begin to shift out of place. Our dentists can permanently crown teeth on either side of the gap and bridge that space, thus restoring appearance, chewing ability and speech.

Dentures
Dentures are custom made, removeable restorations used to replace one tooth, several missing teeth, or an entire jaw of missing teeth. Custom made dentures help patients maintain their facial profile, as well as eat and speak properly.
Partial dentures have clasps that fit on your natural teeth and hold the dentures in place. Full dentures are held in place by suction and designed to sit comfortably over your gums. If there is not enough gum tissue to support full dentures and achieve that needed suction, dental implants may be used to help stabilize the dentures for a secure fit.
Replacing missing teeth is essential to your oral health and can be beneficial to your overall wellbeing. If you are missing all or some of your natural teeth, dentures are an affordable option for replacing them.
