Dr. Ron Elloway, DDS
Dr. Ron Elloway graduated with honors in 1986 from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. With his doctorate in hand, he then came back to join his father’s practice in Port Coquitlam.
Dr. Elloway’s father, Allen, practiced dentistry in Port Coquitlam for nearly 35 years. In fact, Elgin Dental Group has been serving the TriCities area now for more than 60 years.
Dr. Elloway has placed thousands of implants with his team at Elgin Dental Group. Dr. Elloway has taken additional Implant training through the Misch Institute for Advanced Implant Dentistry and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. This extensive training includes tissue grafting, bone grafting, and prosthetic reconstruction. In 2005 Dr. Elloway co-founded a dental implant training program called “BITES Seminars” and taught and graduated dentists from across North America.
He is a member of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and has taken training in the rehabilitation and stabilization of the TMJ. He finds great satisfaction in being able to relieve the pain of patients suffering with TMJ dysfunction.
During his time away from the office he enjoys taking long walks with his wife Carol and their dogs. He is kept busy with seven children and grandchildren, golfing, playing his trumpet, gardening and missionary work.
“It is such an exciting era in dentistry, the procedures we can offer patients now are amazing, like “ALL-ON-FOUR” where through implants we can permanently restore your bite and smile in one day. Dentistry sure has come a long way, and I am blessed to say that dentistry feels like an enjoyable hobby to me, rather than work as I truly enjoy what I am doing. I always look forward to meeting new people and creating new and improved smiles”
